Samahan ng Lahing Pilipino (Fellowship
of Filipino Lineage) or SLP was officially recognized on August 25,
2005 by the California State University, Los Angeles. SLP was founded
to bring Filipino students together to promote awareness of the rich
history and culture of the Philippines and provide an environment where
all members will develop a sense of camaraderie with each other. The organization's main focus is cultural. We seek to construct valuable meetings and discussions where all members will feel connected with each other by sharing experiences and opinions regarding the culture. The topics of discussion will help strengthen the pride of our own cultural heritage while being away from the Philippines. SLP will also help us accept, adapt, and launch new ideas and actions to ensure achievement of our success.
